What is the hobby Spiral?
The Hobby Spiral is a cozy creative wellness studio. It’s a low-pressure, safe space for adults to explore arts and crafts as a non-clinical way to support mental health. We offer intimate groups to craft, create, and exist.
This isn’t a formal art studio, and it’s definitely not group therapy (those are great, too, just not what we do). The Hobby Spiral is more like a craft closet for adults, especially those experiencing burnout, navigating mental health challenges, or neurodivergent folks who want to connect and feel grounded.
It’s for anyone curious about art who doesn’t feel ready for a traditional class or just doesn’t know where to start. No judgement, no pressure: just support, space, and the freedom to create at your own pace.
What do we offer?
Spiral Sessions: crafting sessions during the week!
-This is how we glue it: It’s exactly how it sounds. You get a flat canvas, a broad array of materials, and two hours with a hot glue gun. Give your brain a break, use your hands, and make something!
Workshops: structured crafting session, materials always included.

Free hang outs: to craft and connect!
- The unfinished craft club: bring your unfinished masterpiece to work on or (think about working ) on it,
while you kick it with other creatives. Crochet, acrylic, doodles, all mediums welcome!
- Procreate Artist Meetup: connect with other artists who use Procreate. Share tips or tricks, talk about the best brushes, and maybe do some drawing challenges together!

The Hobby Spiral started because sometimes life feels messy and so do we. We all carry stress, uncertainty, or just a lingering “what is happening right now?” feeling. Creativity can help untangle that, but some art spaces can be intimidating, serious, or too rigid. That’s where we come in.
We’re here to make making things fun, approachable, and a little messy. The Hobby Spiral is a space where adults can try new crafts, experiment without pressure, and embrace the small victories along the way. Process matters more than perfection, curiosity matters more than skill, and a sense of humor matters more than anything.
Our mission is simple: give people to create, connect, and breathe, even if it’s just for an hour. Whether you’re here to escape, try something new, or just sit quietly and make a paper monstrosity, we want The Hobby Spiral to feel like a small, safe, and oddly comforting corner of the world, where your messes are welcome, and your creativity can spiral freely.
